Coach Aaron Rodgers recently moved to Lexington with his family after joining the University of Kentucky
women’s soccer team as an assistant coach. Coach Rodgers holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma which is equivalent
to a USSF “A” National Coaching License. CSC if very pleased that Coach Rodgers will be joining the tremendous
group of Commonwealth SC coaches as coach of the 93 Girls team during the upcoming 2010 spring season.
As a player, Aaron played collegiately at both the University of Arkansas - Little Rock (1991) and the University of
North Texas (1992-1993). After his college career, he went on to play professionally for four seasons (1993-1997)
in the United Soccer League (“USL”) where he played with the Texas Toros, Dallas Rockets, and Mobile Revelers.
While playing professionally, Aaron completed the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in political science which
he earned from the University of North Texas in 1996.
After leaving the USL, Coach Rodgers began his coaching career with the University of North Texas women’s team.
From there, he went on to spend time at the University of South Alabama before becoming Associate Director at
the nationally prominent Cardinal Soccer Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. For two years, Aaron worked with Cardinal
players between the ages of 7 and 20 before returning to the college ranks where he spent time at the University
of North Florida and Flager College as the men’s team assistant coach. Recently, Coach Rodgers served as the
goalkeeper coach for the University of Florida women’s soccer team during their highly successful 2008 SEC championship and NCAA Sweet 16 runs.
Coach Rodgers and his wife, Mandi, have a son, Luke, and a newborn baby girl, Reece. Congrats!
