Garrett was born in Newport Beach, California. He has been an avid soccer player and coach for over 26 years. When he
moved to Lexington, he played for LYSA and the Kentucky Kickers Soccer Club (now LFC). During that time, while he
played in the U16 Boys division, his team won the State Soccer Championship.

He was also a member of the Kentucky ODP team. The summer before his senior year of high school, he traveled
overseas with the top players from the state on a team which played games in Germany, Austria, France, England, and
Italy. He played 4 years at Lafayette High School and after his high school career, he went on to play college club soccer
at EKU. While playing at EKU, he studied Business Management and Paralegal Studies.

Garrett's love for the game has continued to grow over the years after his playing career and has transferred into coaching. He is the founder of Lexington Indoor Soccer League and Academy which now has over 1000 players participating in soccer training and leagues during the winter and summer.

He has coached many years in select soccer and has also coached at the high school level. He currently holds a USSF National “D” license and is planning to take the USSF National “C” license class in 2011. He currently lives in Lexington and has one daughter named Taiylor.
