Coach McDaniel comes to Lexington from the Kansas city area, where he was the founder of the Kansas City Outlaws Soccer Club, which he directed from 1996 through 2011. He and has 20 years of coaching experience, including 9 years of coaching at the university level, 8 years of professional playing experience, 16 years of club director experience, and a degree in Psychology.

Ken McDaniel is married and has a four year old daughter. His wife coaches gymnastics at the University of Kentucky.
