Commonwealth Soccer Club is
pleased to announce the appointment of Coach
Pete Akatsa as our Director of Club Operations.
A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Coach
Akatsa has over 20 years of successful coaching
experience at the club, middle school and high
school levels. He retired as the Men’s Head
coach at the Lexington Christian Academy where
he led the Eagles to All A State finals in
2004 and 2006. In addition to his coaching
duties, Pete is a Physical Education teacher at
the middle school level for Lexington Christian
Academy.
Coach Akatsa was the 2003 recipient of KHSAA
Private Schools Soccer Coach of the year. He is
a founding member of the Commonwealth Soccer
Club coaching staff and is the current coach of
the 94 Girls Gold team. He is director of the
Akatsa Foot-skills training camps for individual
players, clubs and high school teams. Coach
AKatsa is the founder the Commonwealth Soccer
Academy.
